Vicentino Reserve Touriga Nacional 2017
Vicentino Reserve Touriga Nacional 2017
Vincentian
Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park
Planted in clay-schist and sandy-loam soils with low production potential, the Vicentino grape varieties boast their best attributes. The low productivity imposed by the land acts as a stimulus to the quality of the grapes that are formed, promoting an ideal concentration of organic acids, sugars and phenolic compounds. Achieving this balance between quantity and quality, together with a mild climate, allows us to obtain an excellent raw material.
Fermentation: Fermentation for 10 days at 26ºC, followed by a month of prolonged maceration, in contact with the skins. Aging in French oak barrels (new and used) for 11 months.
The elegant aromatic characteristics of the Touriga Nacional grape variety are complex due to some spices coming from the lightly toasted French oak barrels where it was aged.
It has a full, enveloping mouthfeel with silky tannins balanced by elegant acidity, in a very persistent combination.
